Recognized Programs
The schools listed below offer programs recognized by CANNP. If you graduated from one of these programs, your training already meets our qualification requirements — you can apply for membership directly, with no further review.
Where qualified practitioners come from
CANNP recognizes a range of accredited nutrition programs across Canada and beyond. Graduates of the schools listed here meet our standards and can apply for membership without a separate qualification review. Select any school to visit its website.
Canadian School of Natural Nutrition
Edison Institute of Nutrition
The Institute of Holistic Nutrition
Both In-Class Diploma and eCore Diploma programs available.
Pacific Rim College
School of Nutritional Health
A program of John Patrick University of Health and Applied Sciences.
Rhodes Wellness College
Professional Integrative Nutrition Diploma (PIND) two-year program.
Metabolic Balance
Metabolic Balance graduates must also complete a reputable general nutrition program. Contact CANNP directly to confirm eligibility.

Graduated from another program?
Trained at a school that isn’t listed here? You may still qualify. We review applicants from other programs individually, looking at the depth and focus of your nutrition training rather than the name on the diploma.
Still choosing a program? Reach out before you enrol. We’re glad to look at a school’s curriculum and confirm whether its graduates would meet our requirements — so you can invest in your training with confidence. Just send the school’s name and a link to its program outline.
Either way, most reviews are completed within five business days, and there’s no fee to check your eligibility.

Total program hours — the full number of study hours your program includes, as stated by the school.
A short summary of program length, format, and curriculum focus

Once you’ve confirmed your school is recognized — or completed an individual review — head to the membership page to choose your tier and start your application. New graduates and students are welcome, and student membership is free.
